Sweet Snowball is a 3-year-old, female, Wheaten Terrier mix. She joined MHCR as a transfer from another CO shelter due to needing a bit more medical attention than they could provide. Snowball is approx 18 lbs. She has long, slender legs and a silky soft coat. Snowball is house trained, crate trained, dog friendly and reportedly cat friendly, too! She adores kiddos and is sweet and social with strangers. Snowball enjoys cuddling up with her foster mom at night and hopes that her forever home would afford her the same privileges. She just had a dental to take care of a couple broken/injured teeth and she was examined by the orthopedic team at CSU due to a prior injury to her hip. Given that Snowball is non-painful and ambulates beautifully, they’ve recommended no further treatment at this time. As with any dog, with age comes arthritis and there may come a time in Snowball’s future that she could need an FHO (which is where they remove the femoral head), but only time will tell. If you’re looking for an easy, loving, loyal dog, she’s your girl!
