If you were to ask Sierra’s foster mom how to best describe her personality, she’d say ‘perfect.’ Sierra is a loving, low maintenance, easy-going, sweet girl with such soulful eyes. She found herself at a very high intake shelter in Texas, extremely emaciated, and up for euthanasia due to lack of space and heartworms. A fellow Texas rescuer saw her plea and wanted to help….and well, the rest is history. Sierra joined MHCR and quickly adapted to the finer things in life – ya know, food, warmth, comfy beds, love. She’s put on some much-needed weight (a healthy 47 lbs now), has a wide variety of cozy fleece sweaters, received treatment for her heartworms, got her teeth cleaned, and verified she was, in fact, spayed. She’s now ready to find her forever home! Sierra is crate trained; however you won’t have any trouble at all if you choose to allow her free roam. She’s house-trained, walks easily on a leash, prefers to not sit on furniture, and even rides well in a car (although she needs a hoist getting in). It doesn’t stop there. Sierra is also CAT and dog friendly. A gem! An absolute gem. We estimate her age to be 6-7 years.
