We’d like to introduce you to Sabrina, the teenage Boxer mix! Sabrina is a 1-year-old, 42 lbs, sweetheart. She traveled to MHCR from a high kill shelter in Texas where she found herself on death row due to time. Sabrina is what we call a turnkey dog, meaning she’s pretty easy and would be a match for most homes. She’s house trained, dog friendly, snuggly, meets strangers happily, the list goes on. Her foster mom says she has this sneaky way of running and jumping up on your lap when you’re least expecting it! While it may be heart attack inducing for the person it’s happening to, it has proven to be quite entertaining to those around watching it happen. Don’t delay! My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
