Named after the majestic Mount Rainier in Washington state, equally beautiful, just a tad smaller, is our little pup Rainier! This tri-colored, shaggy boy is ready to find his forever home. Rainier is approximately 4-5 months old. His mom had a border collie type appearance and, like most canine mamas these days, entered the scene without a baby daddy in tow. Rainier is a friendly, happy pup. He’s already around 15 lbs so we suspect an adult weight of 30-45 is to be expected. He’s crate trained, fairly chill, and is working on his potty training and leash walking skills. He’s a quick study, so it shouldn’t take long. Rainier is adept at entertaining himself, however he also is happy to play with any human or canine willing.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
