Adorable Coconut is a 3 year old, 14 lbs, Pomeranian mix – that’s just a guess and there’s no way even a DNA test would convince me she’s not a stow-away Arctic Fox. I digress. Coconut has the softest, silkiest, fur you’ll ever have the pleasure of touching. She’s playful, sweet, affectionate, cuddly, seems house trained, and is basically perfection. Coconut loves to play with the canine friends in her foster home and seems to leave the felines alone. While she hasn’t been around young children directly, she’s gentle in nature and we suspect she’d be fine.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
