Our beautiful Stella is all legs and ears! This sweet, goofy girl traveled to MHCR from Missouri – and man did she travel in style. Miss Stella arrived by private plane! She worked that runway like the supermodel she is, too! Stella is 1.5 years old. She’s a Great Dane and she encompasses everything we’ve come to love about the breed. She’s loyal, clumsy, and has no concept of her size (she’s a little one, around 95 lbs). Stella is great with dogs and she’s learning the ins and outs of home living – counters beware. If you’re looking for a lovable, overgrown puppy, she’s your girl! Stella has a mild case of heart worms and has been treated. She’s due for a retest in 6 months.

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
