Sweet Carter is what they call a Double Doodle…don’t know what that is? Us either. A quick google search indicates that is a goldendoodle/labradoodle mix. He’s only 2 years old and came to MHCR after the death of his owner. It has taken him some time to settle in after so much change and confusion. Carter is a beautiful chocolate color with wavy locks and soulful eyes. He is crate trained and house trained. Carter sleeps through the night and would love to have furniture privileges in his new forever home, couches are def the place for him. He is great with other dogs and kiddos.
He can be a little standoffish with some men at first so he will need his new family to be patient with him while he gets comfortable and warms up to them. He is free roam trustworthy and has a gentle nature. Carter needs a yard and would be best with another active, playful, dog. He is an energetic boy and loves leash walking! He could even be a running partner!

My daughter and I have been volunteering with Mile High since its beginning, mostly driving the rescue van to NM to help with transports. We connect with other rescue partners, helping these dogs get to CO and then to foster homes, vet care, and their forever homes. We get to spend time together and feel good about helping the pups.
