Devi, the tri-colored beauty! This queen is a 3-year-old, 35 lbs English Bulldog. Devi is a mild-mannered girl. She’s dog friendly and has done very well with all people she’s met. She is also crate trained and doing well with her house training (she’s on a strict schedule). Devi was surrendered to a high-intake, high-kill shelter in Texas under an unsubstantiated bite claim. She was heartworm positive, suffered incredibly painful entropion, and struggled to breathe due to her elongated soft palate. She was headed straight for euthanasia when a foster offer with MHCR saved her life. Since arriving into foster care, Devi has blossomed into such a wonderful soul. She’s tolerant of all of her eye drops, body handling, and medications…..we can’t for the life of us figure out where the bite claim may have come from. During her spay, it was discovered she had at least one c-section and likely more. Devi had surgery to correct her palate and her painful eyelids, too. She will require eye drops for life due to having chronic dry eye. She also received treatment for her heartworms. She’s had quite the mommy makeover and is ready to grace any bulldog savvy home with her sweet presence.
